Healing shouldn’t end when the hospital stay does.
A Place to Heal: Medical Respite Cabins
Too often, people are discharged from the hospital with nowhere to recover from illness or injury. Without rest, safety, or support, they end up back on the street – and too often, back in the ER.
A Place to Heal is Arkansas’ first medical respite program for people experiencing homelessness. Nestled in four dedicated cabins at New Beginnings, it offers a safe, dignified place to recover with meals, care, and 24/7 support.
A Place to Heal was launched in partnership with Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Impact of A Place to Heal
Since opening, A Place to Heal has provided neighbors with safe recovery, reduced hospital readmissions, and proven that dignified respite care changes lives.
